TweetDeck has sadly been laid to rest recently leaving a gap
in many people’s social media toolbox for a new multi-platform management app.
Here are our top 4 favourite apps from the Google Play store that make worthy
if not better replacements for the TweetDeck app.
1. Hootsuite– Definitely our favourite,
Hootsuite was TweetDeck’s direct rival and is one of the only multi-platform
apps to offer more than just Twitter and Facebook, as it encompasses Foursquare
also.
2. UberSocial – This is the perfect app for a TweetDeck veteran, as its familiar
interface offers an easy to use replacement, with additional custom features
including ‘Inner Circle’ which allows you to filter specific users.
3. Plume – Allowing you to sync multiple Facebook and Twitter accounts,
this is one of our favourite up and coming management apps. It could do with a
makeover when it comes to visuals, but in terms of ample features and ease of
use its up there with the rest of them.
4. TweetCaster – It has one of the best designed interfaces of the TweetDeck
alternatives which is what earns it a place as one of our favourites. The
features include posting to multiple platforms at once and viewing multiple
Twitter accounts and a Facebook feed in one easy to see and navigate place.
There is a paid ad-free or free version full of annoying ads. We personally
think it’s worth paying for, but try out the free one first and decide for
yourself.
Here’s a summary of the apps and the key features they offer:
