Foresee conducted a survey between 28 November 2008 and 15 December 2008. 7000+ visitors to 30 top e-retail website were surveyed. The results are highlighted in the The True Cost of Free Delivery.
Highlights are:
- Shoppers are influenced by free delivery - ie they will choose the company offering free delivery over another.
- 17% of the shoppers surveyed would buy in a store rather than online to avoid delivery costs.
- 31% respondents said they would buy on a website instead of a store if there was a free delivery offer.
