What's a PEST analysis?
A PEST analysis is an examination of the Political, Economic, Social and Technological factors that can affect an organisation's operations - it sits within the macro environment of a business which means that these factors are out of an organisation's control but they can reveal threats or opportunities facing the organisation. Other factors often include Legal and Environmental known as a PESTLE analysis.
