What’s a mashup?
A mashup uses different sources of data within one web application eg using Google maps to plot locations of restaurants. Google’s Mashup Editor can be found here http://code.google.com/gme/ or Microsofts at www.popfly.com.
Make sure you check the terms of use of applications and check any small print.
AroundMe by Tweakersoft is an app for the iPhone which uses information from Google and takes your current location to find eg nearby hotels, theatres, petrol stations etc.
