We keep hearing about interactive marketing. Is it the same as online or digital?
There is no official definition as yet, but we feel that interactive encompasses a wider mix of tools. Online may exclude mobile telephony and digital is often about adverts whether on TV, radio, online banners, SMS or outdoor displays.
Within interactive we include all of this and then add in
- Search marketing
- Email
- Viral
- Social networks which are growing with Twitter, Plurk, LinkedIn, Naymz, as well as Facebook, MySpace
- Affiliate marketing
