We’ve received an email invitation to connect with someone we know on LinkedIn. What do you think of these sites or is it a waste of time?
Some years ago we looked at LinkedIn but couldn’t see a specific need for it. It seemed like many of these sites emerged at a similar time. We do get questions about this topic often.
Interestingly a couple of weeks ago I was delivering a workshop where several of the audience used and benefited from it. Specific examples included
- A very very large software company uses it to check out suppliers who have been mentioned to them
- Smaller consultancies are winning leads from it.
On this basis, we’ve started to build our LinkedIn network. We'll keep you posted :-)
