Advanced searching on Google

I often have difficulty finding what i'm looking for on Google, do you have any tips? There are many advanced search tools that will narrow down the amount of results found by Google. Boolean searching involves adding AND, OR or NOT to your search string. Here are some other examples. To search for phrases in Google, add " marks around the phrase, for example "marketing consultancy" To search for all words, use the + sign eg marketing +tools +boardroom By using both the phrase tool " and the * together, can answer a question for you, eg "a marketing plan is*" Another great tool for finding a definition of a word is by adding define: before a word eg define: marketing More advanced tools can be found at http://www.google.co.uk/intl/en/help/operators.html Have a go!
